How Power Really Moves: Does one vote actually matter?
Elections are the biggest way most people get a real voice in government.

Hi there,
On the fence about voting tomorrow?
I’ve spent most of my career in politics, behind the scenes and as a professional advocate on the outside.
Here’s what I know: elections are the biggest way most people get a real voice in government.
Voting is the ultimate power move.
So who do you vote for?
The person you believe will LISTEN to you and your concerns after the election.
You aren’t voting for a spiritual leader or a life partner. Sometimes it’s the lesser of two evils, and that’s okay.
Sitting it out doesn’t send a message. Neither does skipping a race or voting third-party.
Since 1992, more than 1,300 U.S. elections have ended in an exact tie. Another 530 were won by a single vote.
Only about half of eligible voters turned out for the 2022 midterms. When half the room stays home, the people who show up get a bigger say.
In 2018, more than 4 million Afghans voted while militants carried out about 250 attacks. At least 50 people were killed. They stood in line anyway.
All we have to do here in America is show up.
To your success,
